Very comprehensive and highly detailed conversion kit for the Airfix or Heller 1/48 Jaguar kits. This kit, which includes resin, photo-etch and vac-formed parts, enables the 2-seat Jaguar T2 trainer to be built.

I have purchased quite a few of these sets for one of many projects inc XX847 when I was on 14 Sqdn.
It is a very straight forward conversion requiring careful surgery of the Airfix fuselage halves as shown very clearly in the instruction sheet. Would suit a newcomer to conversions as well as the experienced modeller.
For best results;
1/ DO NOT remove the casting plug from the rear of the new resin nose section. It acts as a good bonding area for the fuselage halves.
2/ Secure new nose section to a fuselage half, any will do it's up to the individual.
3/ Note it is a T2 conv set and therefore some mods will be required to the cockpit to achieve a true T4 version. Careful study of references will be essential in any version made.
4/ For any 1:48 Airfix Jaguar kit you make in static mode DON'T forget to fill in the pressure relief doors just aft of the intake opening and make them a flush with the surface. A common mistake often made/forgotten about!
5/ Take care with the Vac Canopy.
Can also highly recommend Paragons other Jaguar items, wheels, Flaps and Slats, Exhausts, which Relish Models can do as a combined pack.
