This is the Sea Hurricane version of Italeri's recent, newly tooled Hawker Hurricane Mk.I kit. This impressive kit includes a detailed engine and some photo-etched parts.

The Sea Hurricane was originally developed to provide air cover for convoys and was mounted on merchant ships equipped with a catapult to launch the Sea Hurricane. As there was no way to land back on the ship, the pilot invariably had to bail out and hope to be picked up very quickly!
