About Me
Hi Guys, I returned to Scale modelling recently after a 25 year sabbatical forced on me by marriage, kids, career..you know, the usual stuff.
Having made the decision I did loads of research to see where the hobby had gone while I was away, wow!! I bought the Airfix 1:48 Spitfire MkXII to see If I could still do it. What an amazing kit! from Airfix??? Although I did a bit of scratch building and super detailing in the past I was never a rivet counter so I thought The Spit built into a real beauty OOB.
Being ex Navy I love pretty much anything that was ever hurled off a British carrier deck. There is a Trumpeter Seahawk in my steadily growing Stash and a Sea Fury and Wyvern S4 from the same maker on the appproach radar.
However I can be distracted by a passing Spitfire (what is it about that aeroplane?). Just acquired an Airfix 1:48 MKXVIe and Aeromaster decal sheet to illustrate the point.
