VT(N)-90 was one of the first US Navy squadrons engaged in night and all-weather carrier operations while the USS Enterprise (CV-6) was operating off Iwo Jima through the early part of March 1945. On March 14,1945 the Enterprise sorties with Task Force 58 to conduct raids against the Japanese Home Island of Kyushu.
