Accurate Miniatures 1/48 SB2U-2 Vindicator USS Wasp

The first new mould set developed for the "Accurate Miniatures" brand yields an exquisite replica of the Vought "Vindicator" dive bomber. When introduced into service with the U.S. Navy, they represented the transition from biplane to monoplane technology. Moulded in light gray and clear plastic, this 1/48th scale kit contains recessed panel lines and raised details to simulate fabric surfaces. The two-place cockpit is highly detailed and includes a miniature ring mount and machine gun in the radio operator's position. Markings portray 2 aircraft, one from VB-2 assigned to the U.S.S. Lexington and one from VS-72 on the USS Wasp.
