During the opening engagements in North Africa, aerial reconnaissance was a crucial aspect for the Allies fighting with limited forces. This aircraft depicts a converted P-51 "Mustang" fitted with an aerial camera behind the pilots position. Serving with the 111th Tactical reconnaissance Squadron, "Snooper" was an effective, high-speed camera platform.
