Academy 1/32 F-16CG/CJ (Block 40/50) Fighting Falcon
Description
The Lockheed (formerly General Dynamics) F-16 Falcon first flew in 1974 and won the US Air Force Lightweight Fighter Program fly-off to find a low cost alternative to the F-15 Eagle. The Falcon was the first US military aircraft to feature fly-by-wire control which contributes to its outstanding maneuverability. In service, the F-16 has proven very versatile and is used in a wide variety of roles. The aircraft is used in both air-to-air and ground attack missions.
Thsi impressive kit features:
- 270 parts in grey and clear with raised and recessed panel lines.
- 2-part canopy may be posed open or closed.
- Detailed landing gear and wheel wells.
- Detailed cockpit with 9 piece seat, instrument panel with raised detail.
- Nose cone may be assembled open to reveal radar array.
- Full intake trunking to engine compressor face.
- Detailed Vulcan cannon with gun barrels, ammo drum and removeable panels.
- Boarding ladder, full load of bombs, drop tanks and air-to-air missiles.
